Our Solution

There are four principles I'll bring to the School Committee:

• Maintain academic excellence – we must focus anew on what our students must learn to compete globally.

• Provide management integrity – budget mismanagement and four superintendents in the past five years show the management process is clearly broken and must be fixed if we are to restore trust in Lexington schools.

• Contribute fresh perspective – can an increasingly diverse community such as Lexington be served by the narrow band of opinion and approach found in our School Committee?

• Ensure transparency – I’ll do everything I can to open up the academic process to our community, and to minimize the ‘surprises’ which have crept up so frequently in our schools.

The people who support my candidacy are a very diverse group with many different opinions and values and I plan on representing all of them to the best of my ability. They are united in their concern for our schools, and in their desire for the very best education we can provide for our children. I’d like the opportunity to restore their trust in our public schools, and to ensure that all Lexington public school students enjoy the same high quality education experience my children have enjoyed.

As a parent with children currently in the Lexington schools, I'm fully committed to doing everything I can to make our schools the very best they can be.
